Reef Shark in a cage glass sculpture

This listing is for a custom made reef shark in a glass seaweed cage. Each piece is made to order by Sean Price from borosilicate (Pyrex) glass. Sean hand sculpts each piece in the flame using no molds, making each piece one of a kind. Because it is handmade each unique piece will vary in shape, color, and size. The photos show how each piece can vary.

The shark is made with clear glass and sand blasted giving it a frosted look. They eyeballs are a shiny cobalt blue. The contrast of the frosted shark and the shiny cage gives this piece a nice affect.

The finished product is based on sand coral collected on the beaches of Maui (each also one of a kind). The sand coral is painted to replicate the look of black Hawaiian lava. Sean uses his skills and creativity to base the piece in a way that flows together with the glass and the size and shape of the base.

Keep in mind... All bases will vary as they are organically made by nature, no base is ever the same. All glass pieces will vary as mentioned above. No two pieces will be the same. What you see in the above pictures is not exactly how your custom piece will be.

Please allow 6-10 weeks for completion. Once the piece is complete we will send you digital photos with dimensions to approve. Once approved, we will ship. All glass is guaranteed in travel. If it is damaged in shipping we will repair or replace the damaged piece for free.
