Moorish Idol Reef

The “Moorish Idol Reef” will make a great centerpiece for any collections. It stands 21” tall 19” wide and is 7.5” deep. A collaborative effort by artists John Lindquist and Sean Price, this stunning piece features a trio of Moorish Idol fish, a very common fish to find while snorkeling in Hawaiian waters. They are complemented by a reef scene consisting of sea fans, branch coral, anemone, and urchins. The glass is made from durable borosilicate (Pyrex) glass using lampwork or flamework techniques. Each piece is hand sculpted from rods of glass using a super heated blowtorch. The mounting is a beautiful piece of Manzanita Burlwood providing a wonderful base for the reef scene.
