Bloom from the ashes pink Edison pearl and Mother of Pearl pikake flowers necklace and earrings

It’s been one year since our devastating Lahaina fire and I wanted to expand on my “Bloom from the ashes” series with the color pink. The pink Edison pearl represents love, nurture, compassion, and success. There have been so many accomplishments in our town. The highway has opened up again, more areas are opening, and soon the community pool, skatepark, and boys and girls club will re-open. The pikake flower still holds the symbol of hope. As we are now finished with the residential debris cleanup, the rebuild is another level our community must conquer.

The original “Bloom from the ashes” series features Tahitian pearls and Mother of pearl pikake flowers. I started making this set to bring hope to those affected by the August 8, 2023 Maui fires. The pikake flower represents new life. When all is taken away, and you’re at your lowest, all you can do is bloom. Let’s encourage our loved ones to bloom.

The necklace is on an 18” satellite chain. the pendant hangs 1.25” long.
